This unusually dramatic necklace is stylistically from the French Deco period. The multicolored beads are Venetian trade beads, the hand blown glass beads with blue borders are well designed and made, and the blue early resin beads are well-shipped for their placement and use and important in helping to create the over-all design. A dramatic star-shaped clasp is a wonderful final point of design, especially if worn to the side.

This necklace is closest in design of all works to #2935. The primary beads are large mother of pearl and a second group of even larger glass beads. Spacer beads are randomly organized between groups of beads or on either side of individual beads. Overall length approx. 24 inches

Because of my education in the visual arts, I have a strong analytical side, and if an artist understands how a picture works visually, they are more able to understand how their work creates the effect that it does, a very useful skill!

This necklace functions differently than the other examples in the group. Its beads are not randomly strung, but its segments vary in length, bead size, and how the spacers are used. It has fewer repetitions and, in some places, the spacers are not paired with a larger, more dominant bead. They form segments completely of spacers while In other sections, larger beads work alone. Side by side, they line up with similarly sized beads.

The design of this work leans towards random. Beads are primarily glass and two spacers are almost always used side by side on either side of the major bead. The result is more casual and light-hearted in tone. Overall length approx. 24 inches.

This necklace is very similar to #2835-it too, is composed of segments of beads alternating with smaller spacer beads. interestingly, = the primary beads and the spacers are both quite small. The beads are all round and unfaceted except for a short segment of somewhat larger freshwater pearl beads.
